The Petaluma Golf and Country Club is a private golf club built in 1922. The club was founded by our initial members and the McNear family who donated the land for the golf course. The clubhouse was designed by Brainard Jones, a famous local architect, whose many fine homes are scattered throughout west Petaluma. The original nine holes were redesigned during the Great Depression and have enjoyed various enhancements over the years.

Our 9-hole golf course offers different tees for the front nine and back nine which creates a variety of shots and different club selections. The rolling hills of Petaluma are prevalent on the golf course which makes the course play tougher than it first appears. Tree-lined fairways and small undulating greens provide a true test of golf for even the most experienced golfer while the shorter length makes the course playable for the novice. Our course is kept in excellent condition year-round and members miss very few days during the wet winter months. We accept outside play from other private club members.

The Petaluma Golf and Country Club’s membership is geared towards families where all of our memberships include the member’s spouse and children (under 26). The recently renovated pool and new deck are ideal to cool off during the hot summer months and the golf course includes junior tees where your youngsters can easily learn to play. We have several junior golf camps and adult programs to get the whole family playing together. After a long day, members often enjoy our selection of local wines while overlooking the golf course on our patio.
